I have learnt over the years that the inevitable burnout will creep up on me if I don’t prioritise some form of self-care. It’s a word we all hear, but it is often hard to know what you can actually do to help yourself. I’ve put together a simple guide with my top tips and favourite products!
My Top 5 Tips : You Can Do This!
- Water, water, and more water! I usually drink 1-2 litres a day and trust me, I notice a remarkable difference with my energy levels
- A technology break – it’s hard, but the constant need to be online and available is exhausting. Try an evening detox from 7pm as a starter
- Try saying “No” more often, this is one I talk about (and practice) a lot nowadays – do not feel guilty, you need some time for you!
- The power of plants – even if you struggle to keep them alive, indoor plants are SO good for their air purifying and mood lifting effects
- A “You” Day – this may seem crazy, go to a spa or simply read your book in the park, but allow yourself some guilt-free time

Diet & Exercise
It’s so hard to be motivated amongst all the other responsibilities we have, but try to incorporate some exercise into your week. It goes without saying that our diet has such an impact on our wellbeing, I find myself eating so much healthier when I meal plan with a delivery service such as HelloFresh – give it a try! Use code GOTITF4L for 60% off HelloFresh >
