Creating a Stylish Family Space

Besides fashion and beauty, one of my other creative obsessions is creating a home that feels like a reflection of the people living in it, and the history that is behind it. So, I’m super excited to share a glimpse into how I’ve designed our family home, an Edwardian restoration project—a space that blends style, comfort, and a whole lot of love! The Kitchen: The Hub of Our Home

I wanted our kitchen by @thomasfordandsons to be a practical space that made hectic mornings a little easier, but also inviting and social where we can all unwind after a busy day and have friends over too. Think neutral tones but with pops of colour, clean lines and symmetry, stylish brass, and of course, loads of natural light. My kitchen design tip? Think everyday life when planning – where will the toaster go, chopping board, WINE etc…

Oh and revolutionise dinner times with HelloFresh, one of the best decisions I’ve made to reduce the stress and mess of mealtimes – use code BACKWITHGOTIT FOR 60% off + free dessert, give it a try!

Practical & Stylish

I have some absolute favourite things that I couldn’t live without, and yes, an air-fryer is one of them! Anything to make life easier and helps me get some peace, whether it’s having a cuppa on my favourite chair or quickly baking with my beautiful mixer. It’s the little details that bring calm to the chaos of family life! Shop my faves >

A Touch of Personality

I’m not sure there is a room any more “me” than our downstairs loo –  adding little design flares is what makes it your home, and why not have fun with it. We have checker tiles from Bert and May, a Thomas Crapper loo, sink and radiator with a personalised cistern saying ‘Stay on Target’ and flamingo wallpaper from JL. It’s a bit wacky but we love it, and a memorable one for visitors!

Finishing Homely Touches

Finding Ruggable couldn’t have come at a better time, now we’re reaching the final stages of our reno, we are on to the finishing touches that make it ours. Textiles are a great way to add colour and personality, but the fact this rug is machine washable and the covers are changeable makes it even better! No house is complete without gorgeous smelling candles, and this new small business, Burning Intentions, contacted me as they begin their venture. They make the perfect gift as they come with charms to match a range of occasions!
