We’re in the final stretch. December is flying by, the to-do list is endless, and somehow we’re all still holding it together (kind of) – even though my husband has just dislocated his knee, because of course he has 🙃
Before we get into last-minute gifts and NYE glam, I wanted to pause for a moment again this week. I’ll be having a couple of weeks off my weekly edit over Christmas and I wanted to leave you with a special message!
A Christmas Note From Me To You ✨
In the middle of the chaos, please remember this: we’re creating magic. For our kids, our families, and the memories they’ll carry forever.
Which is probably why I’m fantasising about a Home Alone remake – “Mama Alone” – just me, a silent house, and a cardboard cut-out of David Gandy (thank you Amazon), eating snacks I don’t have to share. We can dream, right?
If you can, take a breath. Notice the lights, the laughter, the messy moments that will one day be treasured. You deserve to enjoy the magic you’re making, not just manage it. And if you need five minutes hiding in the wardrobe… fully endorsed. I hope you can all find your moment somewhere amongst the chaos, and I’ll be raising a glass from my place too!
The Countdown Guides 💝
Once you’ve taken a breath, here are a few genuinely helpful shortcuts to get you over the line – no stress, no overthinking. I’m in rapid list ticking mode – lets get it done!
Last Minute Gifts 🎁
Easy wins that feel thoughtful, arrive quickly (thanks Prime), and save you from another frantic dash to the hot flush inducting shops.

Christmas Eve Boxes 🎅🏻
Love them or hate them, here are some simple, cosy ideas that make Christmas Eve feel special without going overboard (and might even help with that over excited bedtime).

New Year Fashion 🎉
Whether you’re heading out, hosting at home, or raising a glass on the sofa by midnight, this edit is all about feeling good as the year comes to a close. Think easy statement pieces, sparkle where it counts, and outfits that feel celebratory without being uncomfortable!

💛 Small business shout-out
This week I’m sharing Pickles & Bakes, a small business built on a love of baking, creativity and bringing people together through food. Thoughtful, homemade goodness that feels especially fitting at this time of year. These “colour me” biscuits are the perfect table favour to keep the kids occupied during a long stint at the Christmas dinner table. There’s still time to order for Christmas, my kids are going to love them!

Sending calm, shortcuts and solidarity for the final stretch.
Thank you for all of your support in 2025, wishing you all the love for a chaotically beautiful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
